There are many ways to classify woven fabrics. A variety of fabric categories can be divided into different classification methods.

(A) According to the types of fibers constituting the woven fabric, it is divided into pure fabrics, blended chemical fiber fabrics and interlaced fabrics.

Pure fabrics-refers to fabrics woven from the same fiber in warp and weft. The performance of this fabric mainly reflects the characteristics of the fiber. For example, the warp and weft yarns of pure cotton fabrics are all cotton yarns (threads) such as pure cotton khaki 21X21/108X58, and the warp and weft yarns of viscose fiber fabrics are all viscose fiber spun yarns.

Blended chemical fiber fabrics——refers to fabrics woven from the spun yarns of two or more different types of fiber blended chemical fiber fabrics, such as cotton and linen blended chemical fiber fabrics, polyester-cotton blended chemical fiber fabrics, wool polyester, etc., their largest The characteristic is that the fibers are mixed together in the spinning process (usually the fibers are mixed in the "opening and clearing process" before spinning).

Interlaced fabric-refers to fabrics woven with spun yarns or filaments of different fibers in the warp and weft directions, such as nylon filaments in the warp direction and viscose in the weft direction. Wool interlace and so on.

(B) According to the fiber length and fineness of the woven fabric, it is divided into cotton fabric, medium length fabric, wool fabric and filament fabric. Cotton fabric-the length of cotton fiber is about 30 mm, and the spinning yarn composed of fibers of this length is cotton spinning yarn (in order to blend chemical fiber fabric with cotton fiber, chemical fiber should be cut to this length-cotton type Chemical fiber), the fabric composed of this spun yarn is a cotton fabric.

Woolen fabric-the length of wool is about 75 mm (the difference between different varieties is relatively large), the spinning yarn composed of fibers of this length is wool-type spinning yarn (in order to blend chemical fiber fabric with wool fiber, chemical fiber should be cut To this length-wool-type chemical fiber), the fabric composed of this spun yarn is a wool-type fabric.

Medium-length fabrics-fibers between the length of cotton and wool are called medium-long fibers. The spun yarns made up of them are called medium-long fiber spun yarns. The fabrics made of such spun yarns are medium-length fibers. Type fabric.

Filament fabrics-fabrics woven with filaments, such as rayon fabrics and polyester silk fabrics.

(C) According to the structure of the woven fabric, it is divided into plain weave, twill weave, satin weave and other weaves.
